FREDERICK, Md. - Hood College baseball coach Cory Beddick has announced the Blazers' incoming recruiting class.

The 13 recruits are all incoming freshman and include eight position players, two pitchers and three players who can contribute in both areas.

"The Hood College baseball coaching staff is very excited about our incoming freshmen class," Beddick noted. "Much effort and attention was put into building a class of high quality student-athletes that, along with our returners, can help us take our program to the next level. We were looking to bring in a group of guys that were not only talented players, but also first-class individuals that will do an excellent job of representing Hood College and our baseball program.

"The group offers a nice blend of pitching and position players as well as a mix of guys with high ceilings as well as high floors. We expect a few of these guys to be able to compete for significant roles on our team right away. We look forward to their contributions on and off the field for the next four years.," said Coach Beddick.

The group joins a program that won 14 games in its first year of existence.
