Equestrian Club Completes Fall Slate at University of Richmond

RICHMOND, Va.--Every rider on the Hood College equestrian team
came home with a ribbon Sunday as the Blazers finished their IHSA
fall season at the University of Richmond show.
Co-captain Emily Bernstein rode in the advanced walk/trot/canter
class as Hood’s designated point rider for the division.
Bernstein rode well and finished sixth giving Hood a point in the
team standings.
Freshman Katie Geiger also rode in the advanced walk/trot/canter
division. In her third IHSA show, Geiger finished fifth in her
class.
Another first year rider, Amy Thompson, competed in the walk/trot
class as that division’s designated point rider. Thompson
finished second adding five points to Hood’s team score.
The IHSA spring season begins on Feb. 15, 2009 with a show in
Poolesville, Md., hosted by George Washington University, American
University and the University of Maryland.
