Equestrian Club Meeting - August 24
FREDERICK, Md.--Interested in horses? Want to ride or learn more about horses? Have a desire to show or compete on the college team?
Please attend the initial meeting of the Equestrian Team/Club on Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. in the multicultural suite in the Whitaker Center.
Members of the team/club range in experience from beginners who are interested in learning how to ride, to those individuals with riding and showing experience. Horse ownership is not required. Club members are not required to take lessons and can participate in all team/club activities that do not require riding.
Team/club members take their lessons and practice at the North Fork School of Equitation (the team's home barn). Fees are based on the number of lessons or practices. Team/club members who have the requisite skills have the opportunity to ride on the competitive equestrian team. The team/club encourages the participation and support of those individuals who have an interest in riding, fun and horse-related activities, even if they are not active rider.
