Krietz, Lundskow, Schnitzker Honored by NFHCA

FREDERICK, Md.--Three members of the Hood College field hockey team were named to the 2007 ZAG/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad for their excellence on the field and in the classroom.
Freshman Jen Krietz, junior Julie Schnitzker and senior Christa Lundskow were all recognized as members of this elite team. The National Academic Squad program recognizes those collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2007-08 academic year.
Krietz, Lundskow and Schnitzker all started each of Hood's 15 games last fall. Schnitzker led the team with two goals and two assists for six points while Lundskow notched a goal and assisted on a pair for four points. Krietz made an immediate impact on the defensive end of the field and registered four defensive saves on the season.
The Capital Athletic Conference collectively had 46 representatives on the National Academic Squad.
