No. 9 Salisbury Topples Hood Field Hockey, 12-0

SALISBURY, Md.--The Hood College field hockey team (1-9, 0-5 CAC) suffered a 12-0 defeat at the hands of the No. 9 Salisbury University Sea Gulls (10-2, 4-0 CAC) Sunday in a Capital Athletic Conference contest.
The Sea Gulls tallied six goals in each half by six different players. Katy Lamboni and Allison Bloodsworth contributed three goals apiece to pace Salisbury, which outshot the Blazers 35-1. Jen Lacy came up with 14 stops in the cage and Jess Head recorded Hood's lone shot on goal on the afternoon in the second half. Amanda Blakeslee and Crystal Parker came up with defensive saves as well for the Blazers.
Hood returns to action Tuesday at Goucher College for a nonconference matchup at 4 p.m.
