BRIDGEWATER, Va.--Junior Brianna Jacques tallied a hat trick for the Bridgewater College Eagles (2-0) in a 6-0 nonconference victory over the Hood College field hockey team (0-2) Saturday.
Hood's Jacquie LeMar and Brandy Noel combined for three shots on goal, but Eagle goalie Elizabeth Sullivan was there to deny all three.
Bridgewater scored four goals in the first half and two in the second to secure its second victory of the fall. Hood keeper Anne Marie Hantman turned away eight Eagle shot attempts in the losing cause.
The Eagles held a 19-6 advantage in shot attempts and were awarded 16 penalty corners to Hood's eight. BC's Christina Pybus registered a pair of goals and Kalah Hess added a single tally to round out the scoring.
Hood returns home Tuesday to host Capital Athletic Conference rival York College (Pa.) at 4:30 p.m.
