WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.--The Hood College men's basketball team (0-1) dropped a 90-59 decision to the University of Scranton Royals (1-0) in the opening round of the Lycoming College Tip-Off Tournament Saturday evening.

Scranton jumped out to an 18-8 lead within the first 5:35 of the contest and never looked back, assuming a 47-25 advantage by halftime.

The Royals continued to pour it on in the second half, shooting 52 percent from the field and sinking all 12 free throw attempts, to advance to the championship game of the tournament against the host Warriors.

J'Air Brady paced the Blazers in his Hood debut with 15 points and dished out three assists. Seniors Jeff Willison and Ryan Junghans tallied 11 points apiece while newcomer Garrett Williams chipped in eight points off the bench, including a pair of three-pointers.

Scranton's Zack Ashworth finished with a game-high 21 points as all five Royal starters reached double figures.

The Blazers will take on Penn State-Hazelton in the consolation game at 2 p.m. Sunday.
