Dickman Announces Addition of Justin Stone to 2009-10 Roster

FREDERICK, Md.--Hood College head men's basketball coach Tom Dickman has added two-time first team all-Monocacy Valley Athletic League Antietam forward Justin Stone to his 2009-10 roster.

Stone, a 6-4, 200-lb., forward, averaged 16 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and three steals for the Brunswick High School Railroaders last year. Stone was also lauded by the Frederick News-Post and the Frederick Gazette as a first team all-area selection following his senior campaign, during which he led the Railroaders to the Antietam Conference championship and a 10-0 league record.

An outstanding student, Stone made the honor roll all four years and is a member of the National Honor Society.

"I think Hood and Coach Dickman are a terrific fit for Justin and I look forward to being able to watch him compete at the next level," said Brunswick head coach Dan McLane.

"We are very happy that Justin has decided to attend Hood and be a part of our basketball program," said Dickman. "He knows how to play, he's tough and he competes at a very high level all the time. Our coaches look for skilled players from successful high school programs; Justin and Brunswick High School fit that profile. We are expecting Justin to be a contributor the minute he walks on campus."
