Golfers Kick Off Fall Slate at Lebanon Valley


LEBANON VALLEY, Pa.--The Hood College men's golf team competed in the Lebanon Valley College Fall Golf Tournament at the Lebanon Country Club in Lebanon, Pa., on Monday in its first tournament of the fall 2007 season.

As a team, the Blazers finished 15th out of 20 teams with a score of 344.

Freshman Aaron Prescott, a Linganore High School graduate, led the way for Hood, scoring 81 on the par 72 course, good for 32nd place. Classmates Andy Alger and Evan Chaney -- both hailing from Brunswick High School -- followed, scoring 83 and 85, respectively.

Freshman Daniel Reid, an Urbana alum, carded a 95, while senior Bryan Womer completed the course with a 110.

The Blazers will return to the links on Thurs., Oct. 4, against Villa Julie College at the Piney Branch Country Club in Hampstead, Md., at 11:30 a.m.
