GETTYSBURG, Pa.--The freshman threesome of Andy Alger, Aaron Prescott and Evan Chaney of the Hood College men's golf team traveled to Gettysburg, Pa., to compete in the Gettysburg College Fall Invitational Tuesday, the Blazers' final competition of the fall.

Prescott was Hood's top finisher with an 86 to place 44th, while Chaney and Alger carded a 91 and a 93, respectively.

McDaniel College won the tournament with a combined score of 305, while Gettysburg's Ned MacPherson won medalist honors with a one-over 73.

Hood will resume play in the spring.
