Blazer Linksmen Finish Fifth at First-Ever CAC Championship

HAMPSTEAD, Md.--The Hood College men's golf team placed fifth with a two-round score of 741 in the inaugural Capital Athletic Conference championship at Piney Branch Golf Club Saturday and Sunday.
Freshman Aaron Prescott was Hood's top finisher, tying for 12th in the individual competition with a two-round score of 170 (84-86). Andrew Alger tied for 14th place with a 36-hole score of 172 (82-90). Evan Chaney and Daniel Reid rounded out the Hood contingent with scores of 182 (90-92) and 217 (106-111), respectively.
Wesley College topped the field with a 36-hole score of 632, followed by Villa Julie College (653), York College (Pa.) (664) and Marymount University (714). Chris Osberg of Wesley won medalist honors with a 12-over 154 (75-79).
