Golfers Wrap Up Fall Slate at Elizabethtown
HERSHEY, Pa.--The Hood College men's golf team completed its fall slate Thursday at the Hershey Country Club in a 19-team invitational hosted by Elizabethtown College.
Hood finished 17th with a combined team score of 350. Sophomore Kevin Baker was Hood's top finisher for the fourth time in as many matches with an 82 (+11). Baker finished 41st out of 94 competitors. Tyler Fairley and Harry Shultz carded scores of 88 and 89, respectively, while Michael Casadei turned in a 91 and Patrick Cairo posted a 92.
The Blazers' Capital Athletic Conference foe, Stevenson University, won the team title with an even 300, one stroke better than runner-up Messiah College. Medalist honors went to SU's Ben Lukehart, who shot a two-under 69.
Hood will resume play in the spring of 2012.
