LEXINGTON, Va.--Freshman Ricardo Gomez scored the lone goal for the Hood College men's lacrosse team in a 24-1 defeat at the hands of the Washington & Lee Generals Monday afternoon in a non-conference game.

Hood slips to 0-6 on the season while the Generals move to 2-3.

Gomez's first career goal in the blue and gray came at the 7:58 mark of the fourth quarter.

Blazer goalie Sam Hofmann put forth a valiant effort in the cage, stopping 22 shots on the afternoon.

Hood returns to action Wednesday against another opponent from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, the Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets, at 3:30 p.m. in Ashland, Va.
