Anderson Nets School-Record Five Goals Against Virginia Wesleyan

FREDERICK, Md.--Senior Jason Anderson of the Hood College men's lacrosse team (0-7) ripped a school-record five goals and assisted on a sixth in a 26-7 loss to Virginia Wesleyan College (4-2) Wednesday at Thomas Athletic Field.
Anderson's five tallies broke his own school record of four which he shared with former teammate Chad Baker. Sofiane Lazar registered his fourth goal of the season while Alex Tkacz scored his fifth to complete the Blazer scoring output.
Will Oconis assisted on Tkacz's score and Anderson's second goal while Michael Matteson set up Anderson's third goal of the day. Oconis also won eight face-offs for the Blazers.
Brett Morris and Jordan Kenney tallied six goals apiece for the Marlins while Shawn Fitchpatrick and Drew Langis both recorded hat tricks.
Sam Hofmann played 50:20 in the net and made 14 saves while Nicholas O'Brien picked up a pair of saves in 9:40 between the pipes.
Hood returns to action Saturday hosting Capital Athletic Conference foe Marymount University at 3 p.m.
