Associate head coach Eric Dummann enters his sixth season with the Blazers in 2010-11. Dummann, who began his stint on the Blazer staff as an assistant in 2006, serves as Dean of Students at St. John's Catholic Prep. He took over the reigns as head coach at Hood for one season (2007-08).
In his role as associate head coach, Dummann is responsible for all of Hood's recruiting efforts in addition to monitoring game day operations, running the box and assisting with scheduling.
Dummann started his lacrosse coaching career in 2004 as an
assistant boys coach at Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax,
Va. helping lead them to a 9-8 record in the competitive Washington
Catholic Athletic Conference. He then moved on to DeMatha Catholic
High School, where he served as an assistant dean and ice hockey
coach from 2004-2006.
Dummann has served as a staff coach at the Elite 150 Lacrosse Camp
at Mount Saint Mary's University and Saint John's Lacrosse Camp and
has participated in numerous recruiting camps. He also plays for a
competitive men's league team in the American Lacrosse League in
Bethesda, Md.
Dummann was an all-league selection and team captain as a senior
at Sherwood High School in Maryland and played four years for West
Virginia University in the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association
(MCLA).
Dummann earned his bachelor's degree in liberal arts from West
Virgina University in 2002 and completed his master's degree in
exercise science with a concentration in athletic administration at
McDaniel College in May 2008.
