ANNVILLE, Pa. - For the second straight week, Hood College's Clay Smith was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Smith recorded seven points on three goals and an assist in Hood's lone game against Juniata. Smith's seven points tied for third-most in a match in program history. He assists on the game-winner in the sixth minute, then scored the next three goals in the 5-0 win. The junior found the goal in the 22nd, 31st and 53rd minutes.
The big week lifted Smith into the Division III lead in points per game (3.60), while he ranks fourth in goals per game (1.60).
Hood, 3-1-1 on the year, puts its three-match win streak on the line on Wednesday, September 19 at 7 p.m. at Thomas Athletic Field against Marywood.
