Men's swimming picks up first win of season

FREDERICK, Md.- The Hood College men's swim team picked up a win against the Stevenson Mustangs 114-40.

How it Happened

  • John Foley notched a first place win in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23:21. He followed that up with another first place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.02.
  • Matthew Ball picked up a first-place win in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.18. He also came in second place with a time of 1:00.36 in the 100-yard butterfly.
  • Max Riedel swam a time of 2:15.75 in the 200-yard IM and landed a first place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time 5:17.68.
  • Gaby Hernandez-Paese finished the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.71 and notched first place with a time of 1:05.30 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
  • Brooks Anderson snagged second place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyles with times of 2:05.26 and 54.62.
  • Cameron King finished with a time of 24.63 in the 50-yard freestyle good enough for second place.
