Men's swimming praised for academics

NORFOLK, Va. - The Hood College men's swim team was named a College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Teams, the CSCAA announced. 

The Blazer men posted the fourth highest grade-point average (GPA) in the Middle Atlantic Conference during the fall of 2018 at 3.06.  

To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher over the spring semester. 

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership of the advancement of the sports of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
