FREDERICK, Md.--The No. 11 University of Mary Washington Eagles (15-5, 5-1 CAC) earned a 6-3 Capital Athletic Conference victory over the Hood College men's tennis team (1-8, 0-5 CAC) Tuesday at the Baker Park Tennis Courts.

The Eagles registered victories at first and second doubles and the top four singles spots to claim the triumph. Only four Mary Washington players traveled to Frederick for the match which translated into three points for Hood by default (third doubles and fifth and sixth singles).

The Blazers' next match is slated for Saturday against Villa Julie College at 10 a.m. at the Baker Park Tennis Courts.
