Track & Field Opens Outdoor Slate at Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md.--Ola Komolafe won the 400-meter run in 52.5 seconds to lead the Hood College men's track and field squad at the Salisbury University Opener Saturday.
The Blazers and eight other schools, including three Capital Athletic Conference squads, endured intense winds and driving rain throughout the day. Jamie Warrick and Jeff Lipinski competed in the men's javelin, the shot put and the discus. Blair Ames was the Blazers' top finisher in the 1500 meters (4:32.60) and the 800 meters (2:14.50).

The Blazers return to action March 19 at York College (Pa.) for a tri-meet with the Spartans and Goucher College.
