Casey, Lammey take part in Mount Multis

EMMITSBURG, Md. - Hood College's Luke Casey and Kyle Lammey finished second and fifth, respectively, in the decathlon at the Mount Multis. 

How it Happened

  • Casey was second with 4,640 points, just 104 points away from his own school record. The senior won both the discus and javelin during the decathlon. Casey threw the discus 33.74 meters (110-8) for 539 points. His best javelin throw was 35.44 meters (116-3) for 376 points. He tallied 552 points in the long jump with a mark of 5.84 meters (19-2), which was third. 
  • Lammey was fifth with 4,233 points. The total was a career-best and ranks him second all-time at Hood behind Casey. Lammey won the 1500-meter run by 0.10 seconds with a time of 5:20.49 for 447 points. He was second in both the pole vault and 110-meter hurdles. Lammey scored 538 points in the hurdles with a time of 17.86 seconds. The senior topped 2.95 meters in the pole vault (9-8). 

Notes

  • Matthew Su of Johns Hopkins won the decathlon with 4,770 points.
