FREDERICK, Md. -- Sophomore William Andrews of the Hood College men’s cross country team has been tabbed Athlete of the Week by the Capital Athletic Conference for the week ending Oct. 28.

Last weekend Andrews led all Hood runners, placing third in Hood’s tri-match against Southern Virginia and Villa Julie, clocking a 17:33 in the 5k. Andrews’ efforts helped Hood finished first overall, beating Southern Virginia for the first time in program history.

Andrews, a native of Walkersville, Md., has been Hood’s top finisher four times this season.

The Blazers return to action Saturday in the CAC Championships at York College (Pa.) in York, Pa.
