Hood to Host Second Annual Cross Country Open

FREDERICK, Md.--Head coach Brent Ayer and the Hood College men's and women's cross country teams will host the Hood Invitational Saturday at Heritage Farm Park in Walkersville, Md.

A total of 12 teams and more than 150 runners will be competing in the race, a 6K for the women and an 8K for the men. The men's race will begin at 11 a.m. with the women getting underway at 11:45 a.m. An awards presentation will commence at approximately 12:45 p.m.

The teams competing in the invitational with the Blazers are Community College of Baltimore County-Essex, Gallaudet University, Harford Community College, Marymount University, Montgomery Community College-Rockville, Mount Aloysius College, Shenandoah University, Trinity Washington University, Waynesburg University, the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg and Wesley College.
