Men's Cross Country Competes at DeSales

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Hood College men's cross country team placed 17th out of 28 teams at the DeSales Invitational. 

How it Happened

  • Zach Crossey finished 55th on the 8,000-meter course in 27:57.0, the 21st fastest time in school history. 
  • Keegan Bello led a trio of Blazers that finished in a 10-second span. Bello ran a 29:16.7 to claim 92nd. Reese Whitesell's 29:24.3 was 94th and Christopher Burgenson was 97th in 29:26.7. 
  • R.J. Tucker rounded out Hood's top five with a time of 33:58.9, good for 145th. 
  • Kyle Lammey and Christopher Maniocha also competed for the Blazers. Lammey was 164th in 36:38.9. Maniocha ran a time of 42:54.9. 

Notes

  • A total of 28 programs earned team scores in a field of 271 runners. 
  • Wisconsin Lutheran's Jacob Jodat ran a time of 25:52.8 to win the individual title, just over five seconds ahead of Benjamin Schott of Messiah. 
  • Messiah won the team title with 39 points, edging York (Pa.) by six points.
