FREDERICK, Md.--Hood College softball coach Kate Barrick and other former college softball standouts will travel with a regional all-star team to historic Bowman Field Thursday to take on the U.S. National Softball Team as part of its "Bound 4 Beijing" tour.

Barrick, who played shortstop in high school and switched to the outfield at Fordham University, was selected by University of Arizona head coach Jeremy Lazorka. The regional all-stars will take on Team USA at Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pa., Thursday at 7 p.m.

The "Bound 4 Beijing" tour is a nation-wide tour comprised of 60 games from February to July leading up to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, Aug. 12-21.
