FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College women's and men's basketball team will be hosting a breast cancer awareness event during Wednesday's Capital Athletic Conference doubleheader against Frostburg State University at BB&T Arena.

The fundraiser is part of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's "Play 4Kay" initiative to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund

Fans are encouraged to show their support by wearing pink to Wednesday's games. The teams will be raffling off donated items including Washington Wizards tickets, a basketball signed by the Maryland women's basketball team, an Outback Steakhouse gift card, Starbucks gift cards and much more. All donations will be split between the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and the Women's Center at Frederick Memorial Hospital Crestwood.

The Blazers will also be honoring breast cancer survivors at the game.
