Women's golf wins dual match

STAFFORD, Va. - The Hood College women's golf team opened its spring season with a 483-608 win over Johnson & Wales Denver in a dual match at Augustine Golf Club. 

On the scorecards

  • Jenna Frick shot a 94 to win by 21 strokes on the par-71 course. The round was two shots off of her own school record. 
  • Kaelyn Dunbar was second overall with a career-best 114. 
  • Brielle Rozmus turned in a 122 to place fourth. 
  • Talia Wade's 153 was sixth. 
  • Tyla Massey finished with a 179. 

Notes

  • Hannah Marie Perry led the Wildcats with a 115, good for third overall. 
  • Hood's 485 was the second-best team score in school history. 
  • It was also the program's first dual match and first win.
