Blazers Roll to 21-1 Win Over Hollins

ROANOKE, Va.--Nine different players scored for the Hood College women's lacrosse team (3-2) in a 21-1 nonconference victory over Hollins University (0-1) Monday afternoon.

Hood matched its single-game scoring record set Thursday against Lancaster Bible College. Kelsey Blackwell led the way with five goals, tying her season-high, while Jen Graham found the back of the net four times. Britney Colandreo netted a hat trick while Helene Butler, Katie Vu and Sarah Balukoff all tallied a pair of goals. Maria Moss, Kim Blocker and Lauren Perzan contributed one goal apiece. Perzan added three assists while Blocker and Balukoff registered two helpers each.

Sam Liptrap turned away three of the four shots she faced, allowing Hollins' lone goal of the afternoon with 30 seconds left in the first half.

Hood outshot Hollins 40-4 and forced 26 turnovers.

The Blazers are idle until March 18 when they host Trinity University (D.C.) in a nonleague game at 3:30 p.m.
