No. 18 Mary Washington Downs Women's Lax, 19-0

FREDERICKSBURG, Va.--The No. 18 University of Mary Washington Eagles (7-3, 3-0 CAC) defeated the Hood College women's lacrosse team (4-3, 1-2 CAC), 19-0, Saturday afternoon in a Capital Athletic Conference contest.

Ten different Mary Washington players scored, led by Catherine Kennedy's seven points on five goals and two assists. The Eagles mounted a 15-0 lead at halftime and outshot the Blazers, 27-3, on the day. Katie Vu, Sarah Balukoff and Brandy Noel collected Hood's three shots on goal but all three were saved by Eagle netminder Danna Guigli. Sam Liptrap rejected five UMW shot attempts on the afternoon.

Hood returns home Tuesday to host CAC rival St. Mary's College (Md.) at 3:30 p.m. at Thomas Athletic Field.
