Women's Lax Wallops Wilson, 23-1

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.--The Hood College women's lacrosse team (5-5) set another program record for goals in a game in a lopsided 23-1 nonconference victory over Wilson College (0-7) Tuesday afternoon.

The win evened Hood's record at 5-5, marking the most victories for the program since the 2005 season when the Blazers went 7-4.

The Blazers got things going just 18 seconds into the game when Jen Graham scored off a feed from Brandy Noel. Hood tacked on its second score 41 seconds later and never looked back, breaking the program record for goals in a game for the third time this season.

Britney Colandreo scored a career-high five goals to pace the Blazers while Lauren Perzan matched her career-high with four goals and won six draws. Kelsey Blackwell racked up eight total points on three goals and five assists. She continues to lead the team with 39 points. Brandy Noel netted a hat trick for the fourth time this season while Jen Graham, Katie Vu and Sarah Balukoff contributed a pair of goals apiece. Patsy Davis and Maria Moss chipped in single tallies for the Blazers.

Hood outshot the Phoenix, 39-3, and surrendered the only goal of the contest to Sam Vance on a free position shot in the final six minutes of the game.

Sam Liptrap made two saves in the net for Hood.

The Blazers return home Thursday to host Waynesburg College at 4 p.m.
