Rendon Scores in 2-1 Loss to McDaniel

FREDERICK, Md.--Sophomore Katherine Rendon scored her first goal of the season and the fourth of her career but the Hood College women's soccer team (0-2) dropped a 2-1 decision to McDaniel College (1-1) in the consolation game of the Kim Servedio Tournament Sunday afternoon at Thomas Athletic Field.
After McDaniel took an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Rachel McCallum in the sixth minute of the contest, Rendon booted in the equalizer off a corner kick from freshman Carlie Colella less than five minutes into the second half.
