Boyer, Colella Ranked Among NCAA Division III Leaders

FREDERICK, Md.--Junior forward Whitney Boyer and freshman midfielder Carlie Colella are receiving national recognition for their standout performances this season.
Boyer from Middletown recently scored a career-high four goals against Wilson College and now ranks 49th in NCAA Division III in goals per game (1.0). Boyer leads the Blazers in goals with eight and is second on the team in points with 16.
Colella, from Hagerstown, ranks 20th in Division III with eight assists, and is one assist away from the single-season record of nine held by Tamara Maggard '07.Colella tied Hood’s single-game record for assists with three against Mount Aloysius College; she also leads the Blazers in points with 18.
The women’s soccer team has been on an offensive outburst the past five games outscoring the opposition 22-2. As a result of this recent tear, the Blazers now rank 26th in Division III in scoring offense with 3.67 goals per game. The Blazers (5-4-1, 3-2 CAC) boast a five-game unbeaten streak over that span posting a record of 4-0-1.
