PURCHASE, N.Y.--Freshman Jessica Devine scored twice for the Hood College women's soccer team (8-5-1) in a 2-0 nonconference victory over the SUNY Purchase Panthers (2-11) Sunday afternoon.

Devine notched her second multi-goal game of the season with a score in each half. Katherine Rendon assisted Devine off a corner kick for Hood's first score in the 20th minute and Cara Jordan registered her sixth assist of the season on Devine's second-half tally in the 50th minute.

Rachelle Buhrman turned away two Panther shot attempts to earn her sixth shutout of the fall.

Hood hosts Capital Athletic Conference foe Salisbury University Saturday at 1 p.m. at Thomas Athletic Field. The Blazers will honor seniors Liz Rakowski and Jessica Parrish before the contest.
