Women's soccer battles No. 24 Arcadia

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Hood College women's soccer team fell to No. 24 Arcadia 4-1 in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth match.

How it Happened

  • Goals by Kayla Smith and Amanda McHugh in the opening 18 minutes gave the Knights an early 2-0 lead. 
  • Arcadia scored twice in a six-minute stretch of the second half to pull away, beginning with a score by Sarah Walsh in the 74th minute. 
  • Lauterbach found the back of the net early in the 88th minute to put the Blazers on the board. 

Notes

  • Brianna Williams made one save in 81 minutes for the Knights, while Gabby Green made a stop in the last nine. 
  • Mackenzie Hoffman scored Arcadia's other goal.
