Women's soccer earns Ethics and Sportsmanship Award

Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Hood College women's soccer team was honored with the United Soccer Coaches Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award. 

The award recognizes teams for exhibiting fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game. In total, 167 collegiate teams across all divisions received the honor.

The Blazers earned the Silver Award. In order to be award Silver status, a team must have a ratio of a yellow or red card in 11-30 percent of its contests. The percentage is obtained by dividing the number of cards accumulated by the number of games played.
