Hamor, Leggieri Swim in Consolation Finals on Day Two of CAC Meet

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.--Erica Hamor and Michelle Leggieri of the Hood College women's swim team reached the consolation finals Saturday on day two of the 2009 Capital Athletic Conference Championships.
Hamor finished second in the consolation heat (10th overall) in the 400 IM with a season-best time of 5:08.35. Leggieri took seventh in the consolation final (15th overall) in the 100 back in 1:08.61.
Other individual finishers for Hood included Kara Cruice in the 100 fly (1:12.09) while Ashley Garyn was 22nd (2:13.26) and Melissa Masino took 25th (2:28.05) in the 200 free.
The 200 medley relay of Leggieri, Hamor, Cruice and Garyn placed sixth in 2:06.47.
Hood is currently in seventh place in the team standings with 89 points. The championship concludes Sunday from the ARC Aquatics Center.
