ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.--The Hood College women's swim team sent three swimmers to the individual championship finals Sunday on the final day of competition at the Capital Athletic Conference championships at St. Mary's College (Md.).

Senior Amy Kaufman captured fourth in the 1650 free in a time of 18:47.27; classmate Katie Hitchens finished seventh in the 100 free in a time of 56.47; and freshman Kim Wolfgang came in eighth in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:21.46.

In the consolation heats, Erica Hamor was seventh in the 200 breaststroke in 2:47.66 and Ashley Garyn (20:37.91) and Melissa Masino (23:41.15) placed 17th and 21st, respectively.

The 400 free relay of Kaufman, Hamor, Garyn and Hitchens finished fifth in 3:55.29.

The Blazers placed sixth in the team competition with 242 points to close out the 2007-08 campaign.
