FREDERICKSBURG, Va.--The Hood College women's tennis team (6-5) dropped a 9-0 decision to the No. 7 University of Mary Washington Eagles (17-3) Sunday in a Capital Athletic Conference match.

The Eagles surrendered just five games all afternoon as the Blazers endured their third shutout of the season.

Hood will next take on York College (Pa.) in the first round of the CAC tournament Monday. The Spartans edged the Blazers 5-4 in dual match action Friday.
