Volleyball Bows to Catholic

WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Hood College volleyball team (2-11)
dropped a 3-0 decision (23-30, 21-30, 26-30) to the host Catholic
University Cardinals Monday evening in nonconference play.
Senior Lindsey Nagy reached double figures in kills for the sixth
straight match with 10 while classmate Ashley Bryan contributed
eight and Chelsea Weaver and Caroline Woodhams chipped in five
apiece. Woodhams finished with a double-double of 16 assists and 10
digs to go along with a pair of service aces. Freshman Kristina
Straub also set up 16 kills and tallied seven digs.
Hood returns home Wednesday for the first time since Sept. 5 when
it hosts Marymount University in a Capital Athletic Conference
match at 7 p.m.
