DOVER, Del.--The Hood College volleyball team (0-4, 0-1 CAC) lost its Capital Athletic Conference opener to the Wesley College Wolverines (5-3, 1-0 CAC) Tuesday evening in three sets (3-25, 10-25, 18-25).

Kristina Straub paced the offense with six kills and six assists while Ashley Burns put down four kills for the Blazers. Leah Garland set up seven Hood kills to go along with a service ace and Bailey Runkles and Jamie Gardner chipped in five digs apiece.

The Blazers return to action Saturday at the Catholic University triangular featuring the host Cardinals and the Messiah College Falcons.
