Alexandra Martellaro joined the athletic training staff at Hood College in the fall of 2018. 

She arrives in Frederick after spending the previous two years at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. During her time there she completed clinical internships with the football, track and field, men's lacrosse, swimming and men's basketball programs. Martellaro served on the athletic training staff at the 2017 South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships and the conference's track and field championships in both 2017 and 2018. 

Prior to Lenoir-Rhyne, Martellaro conducted a clinical internship with Alexander Central High School in Taylorsville, North Carolina. 

She is NATA board certified and has certification as an American Red Cross CPR/AED instructor. 

Martellaro is a 2016 graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a degree in pre-professional rehabilitation services and earned a master's degree in athletic training from Lenoir Rhyne in 2018.
