WINCHESTER, Va. - Hood College goalie Hailey Poisal stopped a career-high 24 shots, but Shenandoah defended its home field in a 4-0 victory over the Blazers.
Her previous career-best was 23 saves last season against Randolph-Macon.
Morgan Lingo scored the Hornets' first goal and assisted on the second. Morgan Payne scored the final three goals, including two in the final eight minutes to seal the win.
The Blazers are idle for six days before heading to Notre Dame (Md.) on September 7.
