Noah Waterlander named MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Hood College's Noah Waterlander was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Blazers to a 2-0 week to improve to 7-0 on the season.

Waterlander registered a 4.18 goals-against average over the two wins. In a 16-6 win over Wesley, the senior made four saves on 20 shots faced, allowed just three goals. He also recorded two ground balls and two caused turnovers in the win. In a 10-5 win at Chatham, Waterlander 13 saves on 37 shots faced, while scooping up one ground ball.  

It is the third straight week that a Hood player has taken home a conference weekly award. 

The Blazers open conference play at Stevenson on March 27 at 7 p.m. at Stevenson.
