Josh Gilmore joins the Hood College men's soccer coaching staff in 2014 after serving as the head boy's soccer coach at Linganore High School from 2007-13.
The Blazers tied or set the school record for wins in each of his first two seasons, including a record-setting 2015 campaign. The team set records for total victories (12), goals in a season (53) and match (15); assists in a season (35) and match (11); and points in a season (141) and match (41). The Blazers' seven shutouts were also a new Hood standard. Putnam coached the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth and ECAC Division III South Offensive Player of the Year; two All-MAC selections and an NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team member. Two players were named Academic All-MAC and one Scholar All-East Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Gilmore has also been a coach for local FC Frederick since 2000. Prior to taking over the varsity team at Linganore, he served as the junior varsity coach for four years. Gilmore was the women's head coach at Frederick Community College from 2001-02 and coached the Loyola College women's club team from 2000-01.
He holds United States Soccer Federation C and D Licenses. Gilmore graduated from Towson University in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in electronic media and film.
He resides in Frederick with his wife Michelle.
