SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Hood College's Kevin Ciocco broke the Blazers' shot put record to lead the men's track and field team at Shippensburg's Paul Kaiser Invitational.
- Ciocco threw the shot put 11.10 meters (36-5) to add over a foot to the old mark.
- Fred Roberts and AJ Lewis participated in the long jump. Roberts tied for 12th with a leap of 6.36 meters (20-10 1/4) and moved into third place all-time at Hood. Lewis was just 0.01 meters behind him in 15th.
- "We performed well against some of the best talent we will see all year. It's now championship season and our confidence will come from all of our preparation leading up to this week," assistant coach Donovan Burriss.
The Blazers take part in the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on May 2-3 at Widener.
