GRAND LAKE, Colo. - The Hood College women's lacrosse team was honored as an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad team, while Taylor Polito and Lillie Myers were both recognized as part of the IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll.
The IWLCA named 339 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squads for the 2017-18 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year. The Blazers were one of six teams in the MAC Commonwealth to earn the honor along with Arcadia, Lebanon Valley, Lycoming, Messiah and Stevenson.
The IWLCA honored 639 student-athletes from 189 different NCAA Division III institutions with inclusion in the IWLCA/Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
