Women's lacrosse comes back to defeat Bridgewater

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Hood College's Rachel Slater scored six goals to lead the women's lacrosse team to a 16-14 come-from-behind win over Bridgewater in non-conference action. 

How it Happened

  • The senior scored three straight in the second half to get the Blazers to 14.
  • With the Eagles trailing 15-14 late, Slater assisted Jess Lyons for the clinching goal.
  • Bridgewater held a 20-12 advantage on draw controls and won nine of 13 draws in the second half, but Hood was still able to rally from an 11-7 deficit.


  • The win improved the Blazers to 4-0 for the first time since the 2014 season.
