ANNVILLE, Pa. - Three members of the Hood College women's lacrosse team were named to the All-Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth teams in voting conducted by the conference coaches.
It is the most all-conference selection for the women's lacrosse program since placing five players on the 2007 All-Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference team.
Slater earns her second straight All-MAC Commonwealth nod. She set Hood records with 71 points, 26 assists and 89 draw controls this season, while her 45 goals and 28 caused turnovers are each the fourth-most in school history. The senior scored at least one goal in 16 of Hood's 17 games this year, including six against Bridgewater and four other four-goal outputs. Slater tied the single-game record with five assists against Immaculata. She had three games of eight draw controls and caused five turnovers against Bridgewater. For her career, she ranks first at Hood in assists (51); second in points (170) and draw controls (202); tied for third in goals (119); and fourth in caused turnovers (55).
Lunn, a junior, is making her first appearance on the All-MAC Commonwealth team. She ranked second in the MAC Commonwealth with 61 ground balls and 34 caused turnovers. Her caused turnover total was tied for the second most in a season at Hood. She set the Blazers' career record for caused turnovers and finished the season with 68. She also ranks in Hood's top 10 in career ground balls with 150. Lunn caused at least one turnover in 15 of Hood's 17 games, including five against Juniata. She had seven ground balls against Stevenson.
Holt was named an honorable mention during her first collegiate season. She played in and started 14 games, ranking third in the MAC Commonwealth in both saves (10.86/game) and save percentage at 49.0, while rating fourth in goals-against average at 12.60. She had a season-high 17 saves against Messiah and stopped 14 shots in four other contests.
The trio helped lead the Blazers to a 9-8 record, setting the school record for victories in the process.
