ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The Hood College women's soccer team fell 2-0 at St. Mary's (Md.) on the road.

  • Lydia Erickson picked up her first start in net for the Blazers and made eight saves. 

How it Happened

  • Emmy German gave the Seahawks the lead in the sixth minute after a deflection off of a corner. 
  • The score stayed that way until the Blazers were hit with a stroke of bad luck in the 76th minute. A cross struck a Hood defender and went into the net for an own goal and a 2-0 deficit. 


  • Ellie Marts made four saves in the shutout win. 
  • The Blazers were outshot 18-10.
