FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's soccer team fell 5-0 to No. 1 ranked Messiah Falcons.

How it Happened
- Erin Scarborough had the opportunity to take an early lead in the 10th minute but her shot sailed high of the target.
- Messiah opened up the scoring in the 20th minute when Ellie Lengacher's cross found Brooke Firestone who made the score 1-0.
- Lengacher claimed a goal of her own in the 28th minute as Kylie Firestone recorded an assist.
- Firestone got herself on the scoresheet shortly after in the 35th minute, leading the Falcons into a 3-0 advantage at half.
- Messiah's Brooke Firestone and Claire Brier capped off the scoring in the second period of play.

- Messiah's Lydia Ewing tallied three saves in 68 minutes of play. Courtney Dunlop played the remaining 22 minutes.
- Hood is now 11-4-2 overall and 3-1-1 in conference play.
- The Falcons are now 14-1-1 overall and 5-0-1 in conference.
